If you haven’t dated in a while or if you’ve sampled the online dating scene without luck, it might just be you need a little image makeover or as much as a complete overhaul.
Not to worry, the average dater isn’t very effective at presenting themselves in their online profile or through their correspondence. Other singles tend to be hesitant about using this amazing tool due to their concerns, which in some cases are often based in truth, but can be largely blown out of proportion.
As an Online Dating Assistant & Personal Ad Coach, some of the problems I typically see with client profiles composed on online personals sites, is that the profiles are far too generic. There’s nothing that makes the profile stand out to possible matches that would make them want to respond, much less save as a favorite to revisit later for a second look.

Not only did I assist in the development of a large online niche dating site, I participated in online dating and learned first-hand the ads that sell the user and the approaches that worked.
I was having a hard time meeting new men with my own hectic lifestyle as a single parent and full-time career woman. As a result, I turned to online dating sites in the hopes of trying to set up a date on those rare evenings I found myself alone and available. While I got clever at arranging dates, online dating took up so much of my free time that it started to feel like more of a chore or job than an enjoyable leisure activity. Eventually online dating paid off and I met a wonderful, amazing man who completely swept me off my feet.
Not an easy task mind you. I’d been lovingly labeled Queen of First Dates by my closest friends and relatives. Not such a bad thing really – I stored all the horrific details that have lead me on a path to helping individuals like you who need a little help orchestrating the best profile, image and approach when meeting people online.
Over the years, I’ve helped several friends and relatives establish their online personals profile. And while working for the online dating site, I would offer random suggestions to members who were obviously suffering from personal ad know-how. At the urging of some close friends, I came up with the idea to offer my services to members of the internet dating arena. I was already accustomed to assisting people with their personal ads – so it made sense.
When word got out that I had actually critiqued and edited online profiles for friends who faired with tremendous success, other people started asking me if I could give them a hand with their personal ad and sometimes their first few exchanges with prospective dates. Although I wouldn’t call my skills extraordinary, having a background in buying, participating in and working with online personal sites, I recognize the obvious pitfalls in personal ads composed by novice online daters.
